12 Powerful Miracle Prayers For Healing and Strength!

This blog post is all about prayers for healing and strength

I’m super excited to share this article on healing. I’ve been thinking about this for some time! ❤️

Quick question(s):

Have you ever struggled with the idea of being healed and made whole? Have you felt like the same miracles detailed in the Bible are not meant to be part of your life? If so, it’s time to rethink this. Why? Because God is still in the business of healing today.🤗

We may find ourselves surrounded by doubt, fear, or insignificance. But those feelings don’t have to keep us from the wonderful healing power that God can bring. When we open our hearts to His love, He will provide comfort, strength, healing, and restoration.

In this blog post, I’ll set the stage for you to understand healing. How will I do this? By first de-bunking myths and replacing them with Biblical truths. When we do this, we are open to receiving healing. After that, I’ll go over 12 prayers that I’ve carefully outlined.

Ready? Let’s go!

My Journey of understanding Healing

I used to think that God caused suffering—that it was a tool He personally used.😭 But I’ve since come to understand that it is not in His nature to do so—and I’ve seen firsthand the freeing truth of this.

It all began for me in 2011/2012 when my mind was renewed (Romans 12:2). I started to see healing manifest once I realized the believer’s authority. I had to go back to the Garden of Eden to study the genesis of it all and worked my way up to Jesus’ completed work on the cross (atonement).

Since then, I’ve been blessed to witness many miraculous healings. But can I be honest?🤔In some cases, prayers weren’t answered as desired. My father wasn’t healed here on earth but in Heaven when he was ushered into eternal life.

Of course, I would have preferred Him to be here with me, but rather than blame God for this, I now understand it is not Him who has refused to heal. Instead, I recognize that He is a good God who wants us to be well. I still walk in personal miracles to this day. I’ve seen vitals stabilize and other relatives discharged with a clean bill of health!

Friends, I’m not coming here as an expert🤓 but as someone who opened her heart to hearing more about healing. I’m still exploring this topic, but I’m thankful for the journey and the freedom it brings. Each step takes me closer to God, deeper into His heart—and frees me from a lifetime of believing suffering was part of His will.

This newfound understanding is beautiful and life-giving—and I’m grateful He opened my eyes to His truth. It’s a never-ending journey of learning and growing, but that’s what makes it so precious.

As I grow closer to God, my faith and understanding of His healing nature strengthens. What a privilege it is to experience true freedom in Him!

Myths and Principles of Healing

Healing can occur when we engage with God in prayer. It also involves engaging our faith, allowing for the work of the Holy Spirit, and understanding the principles of healing outlined in the Word.

Let’s look at 8 myths about healing and the corresponding truth in each one.

1. Some Believe God is the Author of Suffering 😭

I’ve de-bunked this in my suffering blog post. However, I would like to state that the myth that God causes suffering is completely false.

The truth is that God isn’t the author of suffering. If you are experiencing suffering, know that God can bring hope and restoration.

2. Sozo Is only about Eternal Life and Forgiveness

Sozo is a powerful Greek word often associated with and translated as “salvation.” However, it has much more meaning than just forgiveness of sins. It implies salvation, healing, wholeness, and deliverance.

When looking at the deeper implications of this term, it becomes clear how much it goes beyond simple forgiveness. God does not just forgive our sins but actively works to heal us and make us whole.

So what does this mean? Well, rather than merely erasing our wrongdoings, God desires to redeem us in every way. Through the power of Sozo, we can experience a transformation from the inside out; it is an invitation for healing, restoration, and a new life in Him.💃🏾

3. We Don’t Need Miracles Today

The myth here is that miracles have no place in modern life or our faith walk.

The truth is that God is still working miracles every day, and we need to be open to them!

We should expect God’s healing power to move in our lives as a sign of His presence with us.

4. Miracles Don’t Happen

The myth here is that miracles are either impossible or only reserved for certain people at certain times in history.

The truth is that God is still at work in the world, and He will use miracles to bring about His plans.

Miracles don’t have to be supernatural events; they can also be situations where God works through natural circumstances in extraordinary ways.

5. Healing ONLY Requires Special Faith

The myth here is that healing only happens for people of extraordinary faith. Think Abrahamic faith 😭. The truth is that healing comes through faith in God’s power and promises, no matter our level of faith.

In fact, we are told that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can be able to move a mountain Matthew 17:20-21. Whoa! Friends, We must have a heart that desires healing and a willingness to accept it from Him.

P.S. I’m not saying that you become complacent in your faith; I’m saying that God sees your heart.

6. Healing Is Just for Our Bodies

The myth here is that healing only means restoring our physical bodies.

The truth is that healing affects our entire being- physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Healing can restore us to wholeness in all areas of our lives so we can experience life fully.

7. It’s Too Late for Healing

The myth here is that it’s impossible to be healed if you have struggled with a particular problem for a long time.

The truth is that God’s power knows no bounds, and it’s never too late to receive healing from Him. No matter how long we have been struggling, we can still turn to Him in faith and trust that He will bring relief and restoration.

8. We Have to Earn Healing

The myth is that we must do something to earn God’s favor and healing. This is often seen in legalistic backgrounds.

The truth is that it’s only through faith in Christ, not our works, that we can receive healing. We acknowledge our need for Him and trust in the power of His grace to restore us.

7 Miracles in the Bible That’ll Inspire You! (Jesus healing scriptures)

Throughout the Bible, countless stories remind us how God can work miracles in our lives.

Here are seven documented healings from scripture to encourage you and remind you of his miraculous works:

Jesus Heals a Paralytic (Matthew 9:1-8): In this story, a paralyzed man is brought to Jesus and is healed by him. Many people witnessed this miracle and showed that Jesus had the power to heal any sickness.

Jesus Cleanses Ten Lepers (Luke 17:11-19): In this story, Jesus heals ten lepers. Only one comes back and thanks and praises Jesus afterwards. This resulted in not only healing but being made whole (check KJV translation)! This shows us the importance of praise and thanksgiving!

Jesus Heals a Deaf-Mute (Mark 7:31-37): In this story, Jesus heals a deaf-mute by putting his fingers in the man’s ears and touched his tongue. This miracle exemplified how Jesus could bring healing to even those who couldn’t adequately communicate their need for it. Also, it shows creative miracles (story for another day).

Jesus Heals a Blind Man (John 9:1-12): In this story, Jesus heals a man who was born blind. This miracle was an incredible demonstration of how Jesus could heal any ailment- even if it is considered congenital.

Healing of the Centurion’s Servant (Matthew 8:5-13): In this story, Jesus heals the centurion’s servant from a distance without ever seeing the man. This miracle showed that Jesus could heal from any location.

Jesus Heals Jairus’ Daughter (Matthew 9:18-26): In this story, Jesus brings a girl back to life after she had been dead for some time. This miracle showed how powerful Jesus is and how He can bring even the dead back to life.

Jesus Heals a Woman with an Issue of Blood (Matthew 9:20-22): In this story, Jesus heals a woman who had been suffering from a bleeding disorder for twelve years. This miracle showed that there should be no time limits (duration) in healing. Jesus can heal an illness that has persisted over a long period of time.

Bible verses on prayers for healing and strength

As I highlighted earlier in the post (on various healings done by Jesus), Jesus’ healing power extended to all types of infirmities – spiritual, physical, and emotional. He was anointed by the Holy Spirit and with power. This enabled Him to do good and to heal. (see Acts 10:38; Luke 24:19).

Due to this, people were drawn to Jesus because of the miracles he performed. From the lame to the blind, Jesus healed those who were suffering. He taught us that his power was greater than any sickness, duration of suffering, ailment and even death (LAZARUS!).

We can look to the Bible for guidance when we are in need of healing and comfort. Jesus’ works of healing still serve as a reminder that God is with us and loves us deeply.

SUPER TIP! Please reference my post on praying the scriptures to find a good starting point to incorporate the verses below into your prayer!

Here are the Bible verses on healing:

Matthew 9:35: Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

Matthew 12:15: But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”; and their sight was restored.

Matthew 14:14: When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

Luke 9:11: The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.

Matthew 19:2: And large crowds followed him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and they laid them at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them.

Matthew 8:16-17: When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”

Matthew 8:14-15: When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.

Matthew 21:14: The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them.

Matthew 4:23-24: Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.

And that’s it, folks, prayers for healing and strength
