5 Prayer Points for Traveling Mercies For Your Journey…
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation as we set out on this journey. Lord, we thank you for your grace and favor and the fact that you’ve already gone before us (Deuteronomy 31:8)!
Lord, extend Your mercy to cover every aspect of our travels. Keep our bodies healthy, our minds sound, and our spirits sensitive to hear from you! Protect our loved ones while we are away, and bring us back to them safely to share the experiences we’ve gathered under Your grace.
We also pray for the following:
a) Blessing
Deuteronomy 28:6 states, “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.”
May this promise of blessing manifest in our travels. May we go forth and return under Your watchful care, experiencing the fullness of Your peace and joy.
b) Peace
Numbers 6:24-26, “May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Lord, as we embark on this journey, may Your peace that surpasses all understanding be our portion. May we feel Your presence with us at all times.
c) A Heart to Yield to God’s Ways and His Plans
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
Lord, we trust in Your plan for our journey. We surrender our own understanding and submit to Your will, knowing that You will lead us down the right path. Please help us to have faith and not doubt as we navigate through new places and experiences.
d) Divine Protection
Lord, thank you for your divine protection as per Psalm 91:10, “No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.” and Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
Dear Lord, in Your infinite wisdom and care, grant us Your divine protection on our travels. May we find solace and strength under Your wings. May we feel Your presence with us at all times, guiding us and keeping us safe from harm.
e) Opportunities to Diligently Help (Or Be Helped) by Others
Dear Lord, as we set out on this journey, may we always remember to show kindness and generosity towards others.
May we follow the example of Paul and Titus in (Romans 15:24) & (Titus 3:13), who sought to help their fellow believers in need during their travels.
We pray that you would give us a heart to always be on the lookout for opportunities to bless and assist those around us who may be going through their own journeys.
