Hey there, amazing people!
Over Passover, I embarked on a truly heart-stirring adventure through the pages of two profound books. One is a treasure that has been with us for ages—the book of Ephesians in the Bible. The other? An awe-inspiring read titled “The Rock, The Road, and The Rabbi” by Kathie Lee Gifford and Rabbi Jason Sobel. And, oh boy, have these books taken me on an emotional rollercoaster!
Reading “The Rock, The Road, and The Rabbi,” I found myself pausing time and time again, tears streaming down my face. Especially when I dove into chapters about the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, and the myriad of rich histories that seem to get a bit lost in translation when we shift from Hebrew to English, it’s like uncovering hidden treasures that have been waiting just beneath the surface, eager for someone to find them.
There were moments, deep, profound moments when, after closing the book following a particularly stirring chapter, I found myself absolutely weeping. Through tears, I whispered, “Jesus is God. What an honor to serve You.” It’s one of those re-affirming realizations that hits you like a wave—overwhelming, powerful, and incredibly moving.
This experience, this beautiful blend of reading both a modern exploration of Jesus’s life and Paul’s letters to the Ephesians, has been nothing short of revelatory. It’s like seeing the world in vibrant color after only knowing it in shades of grey. It’s a reminder of the depth, the richness, and the incredible love story that is woven throughout the Bible.
For Real, How Do I Say Thank You?
Over the past few days, I’ve been asking myself one profound question, “Jesus, how do I thank You?” It’s a thought that has been swirling in my mind, especially when I reflect on how the Lord has divinely protected me over the past few months (I wish I could expound😭) and orchestrated moments that can only be described as miraculous. It’s like literally seeing Him as the 4th man in the fire, standing beside me in my toughest trials, unwavering and steadfast.
But really, how do you thank your Lord God? We’re talking about the One who is so vast; He crafted the world with His words. The One who loved us so deeply He chose the cross for our salvation. How do you express gratitude to someone who walked on water, calmed the roaring sea with a command, and defeated death itself to give us eternal life?
It seems almost overwhelming when put that way, doesn’t it? But not overwhelming in a worldly sense but in an abundant love kinda way.
Here’s what I’m doing (don’t confuse this for earning His love/works. We have all fallen short, but God loved us and paid the price anyway)…
- Living a Life Reflective of His Love (Honor)
- Obedience
- Praise and Worship
- Prayer
- Acts of Kindness
And so, with a heart full of gratitude, I want to dedicate this post to my sweet Savior, Jesus. To say “I love You deeply” feels almost too simple for the enormity of gratitude swelling in my heart. Yet, it’s the most sincere expression of my thanks. Thank you, Jesus, for being the rock on which I stand, the guide on my path, and the source of all my joy.
Ephesians 3:18-20 NLT, “And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.”
Hugs,

Sharing about Jesus is also a way to say thank you to him
Amen! I 100% agree!
