As believers in Christ, we know that our God is a God of love and power. He cares for us deeply and desires for us to live a life free from fear and torment.
However, we also know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), including through our dreams. But fear not, for our God is greater, and through prayer, we can cancel any bad dreams that may come our way.
The goal for this post is super clear: to arm you with 14 prayer points to cancel bad, evil, or negative dreams (backed by scripture!)

Christian Prayer to Cancel Bad Dreams (with 14 prayer points!)
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude. I thank you for your love, mercy, and faithfulness towards me. You are the giver of good dreams and the one who cancels bad ones.
Father, I praise your name for being my protector and my shield. I know that even in the midst of the storm, you are with me and will never leave my side.
I start by repenting of [name it] and what I’ve knowingly or unknowingly done that may give the enemy a foothold in my dream life!
As I surrender this prayer to you, I ask that you will divinely intervene in my situation regarding dreams.
I thank you that your Holy Scripture backs this prayer, for your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105).
1. Father, I thank you for giving us authority through your son Jesus Christ.
Your word says in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
With this knowledge of the authority you have bestowed upon me, I declare that every bad dream will be canceled in the name of Jesus!
2. Father, I demand recompense for anything that was robbed in my dreams.
Your word says in Joel 2:25-26, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten… You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied.”
Lord, I trust in your promise of restoration and ask for it to manifest in my life.
I claim restoration and abundance for Anything lost or stolen through bad dreams.
3. Even those bad dreams I don’t recall, I cancel them in Jesus’ name!
Your word says in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
Father, I call upon your name and ask for revelation of any bad dream that may have slipped my memory.
By your grace, I cancel it in Jesus’ name.
4. We uproot any dreams planted by the enemy.
Your word says in Matthew 15:13, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.”
Lord, I declare that every bad dream planted by the enemy will be uprooted and destroyed.
By the blood of Jesus, we have victory over all schemes and attacks of the enemy.
5. We cancel any dreams that are not from you.
Your word says in 1 Corinthians 14:33, “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.”
Father, I rebuke and cancel any dream that causes confusion or fear in our lives.
Your peace surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and we hold onto it as we cancel every bad dream in your name.
6. We decree and declare no interruption or delay in our purpose journey.
Your word says in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose.”
Father, your plans for us are good (Jeremiah 29:11), and we trust in your perfect timing.
We cancel any dreams that may try to hinder or delay the fulfillment of our purpose on this earth.
7. We reject any dream that goes against your promises for our lives.
Your word says in 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him.”
Father, we stand on your promises and reject any dream that tries to contradict them.
Your truth sets us free (John 8:32), and we declare freedom from any bad dream or attack of the enemy.
8. We declare that our minds are guarded by your peace and truth.
Your word says in Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Father, we ask for your supernatural peace to guard our minds as we sleep.
Any bad dream or thought that tries to enter our mind is canceled and replaced with your truth and peace.
9. We break any generational curses or patterns associated with bad dreams.
Your word says in Galatians 3:13, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.”
Lord, we thank you for breaking every curse and setting us free from any patterns of bad dreams that may have been passed down through our family line.
By your blood, we are redeemed and made new.
10. We speak life and blessings into our dreams.
Your word says in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
Father, we declare that our dreams will be filled with your goodness, love, and blessings.
Any bad dream that may try to come through is canceled by the power of our words. May our dreams bring us closer to you and align with your will for our lives.
11. We trust in your protection and deliverance from all evil.
Your word says in Psalm 121:7, “The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.”
Father, we trust in your promise of protection and deliverance from all evil, including bad dreams.
By your mighty hand, we are shielded and kept safe. We cancel any bad dream that may try to harm us or cause fear in our lives.
**Feel free to also read and declare Psalm 91over your dream life**
12. We renounce and break any evil programming in our dreams.
Your word says in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.”
Father, we reject any programming from the enemy that may try to influence our thoughts and dreams.
By your Spirit, we are transformed and renewed, canceling any bad dream that tries to conform us to this world instead of you.
13. We cancel any witchcraft, sleep paralysis, or spiritual attacks in our dreams.
Your word says in James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Father, we submit ourselves to you and resist the enemy who tries to attack us through our dreams.
By your power, we cancel any witchcraft, sleep paralysis, or spiritual attack that may try to harm us or hinder our relationship with you. We declare victory over all evil in Jesus’ name!
14. We declare that our dreams will be filled with dreams and visions from you.
Your word says in Acts 2:17, “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”
Father, we thank you for pouring out your Spirit on us and giving us dreams and visions from you.
Any bad dream or attack of the enemy is canceled as we open ourselves to receiving more of your Spirit through our dreams. May they bring glory to your name!
Father, I thank you for your faithfulness and for hearing and answering our prayers according to your will. We declare that every bad dream is canceled in Jesus’ name, and we walk in victory and freedom.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Can I be honest? I wrote this blog for myself🤭 because I usually use this format to cancel any negative dreams!
So friends, let us continue to pray and declare God’s promises over our lives and cancel any bad dreams that may try to come against us. Remember our authority in Christ and that we are more than conquerors through him who loved us (Romans 8:37).

May GOD continue to increase you for this great work. I had a dream that has hunted and stagnated me for 10 years. And I started and new project and the dream came last night. I was rebuking it with a little touch of fear.
