This post is about the verse that states, “Your Gift Will Make Room For You”.
I have spoken about imposter syndrome in the past, especially when it comes to blogging. You can click here to get a quick read. So, what does imposter syndrome feel like in this blogosphere world?… Sometimes, I feel that this is precisely where God wants me to be; other times, I doubt that I’m equipped to fully execute my calling. Recently, God reminded me that he had planted this seed of writing when I was very young. It incredibly renewed my passion! So here goes…
A few weeks ago, my sister helped my mother in Kenya organize her room. My sister stumbled upon letters and keepsakes that my mom kept over the years. She started sharing photos of these handmade Christmas cards with original poems that I had written at around seven years of age. Then she began to share “books” that I had “self-published” thanks to manila/art paper and handy staples that bound the books together. Some “books” came with an ISBN (that I made up, of course!), and others had an “about the author” page, complete with a self-portrait of myself! The font of the text was a classic- my handwriting, of course!
As my sister continued to send the memorabilia photos, I had a few laughs at the sheer ingenuity of it all. However, something else welled up inside me; I heard a voice say, “Your gift has been inside you all this time.” I felt reassurance; I AM ON THE RIGHT PATH!
I don’t know what gifts God has laid inside your heart, but I can guarantee you that it is already inside you! All you have to do is look within and not without. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in how you need to use it, for we should use our gifts not by our might or power but by the Spirit! If you struggle with doubt, allow the word of God to renew your mind.
So, in case you are holding yourself back from using your gifts, I hereby nudge you: Your gift yearns to become untethered from doubt, indecisiveness, procrastination, and in my case- imposter syndrome! Let the Lord use your gifts to make room for you!
Hugs!

Proverbs 18:16
A man’s gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men.
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Romans 12: 2
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
So so good! Never doubt God’s gift in you. It’s time to use those talents sis. ❤

I really love what you wrote here – “ Your gift yearns to become untethered from doubt, indecisiveness, procrastination, and in my case- imposter syndrome! Let the Lord use your gifts to make room for you!”
May we use our gifts and talents in submission to Him for the purposes He has in mind for us.
Blessings 💙
Amen! I appreciate you stopping by 💝 I too pray that I remain in complete submission to God.
His gift in us remains but it’s our duty to commit it to use. 💯
Well said! 💖 I totally agree!
Thanks for sharing those scriptures. This communicates to all of us. In most cases, God uses our gifts to announce us to our world. Thanks sis.
Amen Brother Chris! I agree 💯 % God uses our gifts in that way for sure 🌺🙏🏾
