I want to offer encouragement to intercessors about the season of warfare we are in. This is still the same theme about flight. We are to RISE in this season.
If you are an intercessor, you may have been feeling a burden or urgency. I felt it around September 2023, and in December 2023, I felt an actual burden on my shoulders as I went into intercession (see my prophetic dream re: the wailing wall and intercessors being called).
I want to send a simple reminder: God has prepared you. Don’t be distracted as you carry out your mission. You were prepared in the secret, and you know the battle plan. You know what you are supposed to do. Gideon (who comes from the tribe of Manasseh… Joseph’s son) went from being timid in a winepress to leading Israel to victory. He doubted. He asked for confirmation. Then he did RISE.
One of the most profound passages in Gideon’s story is Judges 7:22-25 when Gideon orders Israelites from Naphtali, Asher, and all Manasseh to pursue the Midianites. I get overwhelmed when I read that. Gideon was once in a winepress, and now he is leading an army to TOTAL victory!

Yes, we are in the season of open doors, but we are also in a season when there is war at the doors/ gates.
I leave you with this powerful prophetic song… it states…
“The Lord is with you, mighty warrior. The Lord is with you, mighty warrior. So rise So rise Mount up, mount up Mount up on the wings of eagles.”
My parting shot: RISE AND FLY, Children of God…. RISE AND FLY. 🦅

P.S. Battling on your knees is not always easy. Sometimes it feels passive. You wonder if things are shifting…May the Lord open your eyes for you to see and discern…and most importantly, “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them” (see 2 Kings 6:16-17)
