Joseph Pioneers, Prepare to Take Flight (A Prophetic Call)

Joseph, God Hasn’t Abandoned You!

I want to take a quick interlude from my year of open doors to encourage you! This past week, I was on a beach facing the Atlantic. I was deep in thought, and a picture of an empty pier came to mind. I gently spoke to my Heavenly Father, “I feel like you told me to build a pier, but it’s abandoned. Nobody is visiting the pier or gracefully walking its planks, but I can clearly see it’s built well.”

For those unfamiliar with piers, they are structures built in a lake, river, or sea and are known for offering shelter and various fishing activities. The Oxford Dictionary also explains that they are used as a “landing stage for boats.” Piers are truly multipurpose structures.

I discerned the Lord say, “Heather, the pier is not abandoned—it is hidden. There are abundant fish teeming around the location of this hidden pier. When the time is right, people will come to the pier and enjoy the resources.”

This revelation immediately draws my mind to the story of Joseph—hidden away with his brilliant wisdom, only to be thrust into the world equipped with a treasure trove of resources, skills, and knowledge. He did not step into the world empty-handed; he was abundantly provisioned!

To all my dear Josephs out there, whether you find yourself in a pit or a prison-like situation, remember this: you are not abandoned; you are merely hidden. The Lord Your God walks beside you, guiding you with His presence and providing for your every need. Just as Joseph emerged from obscurity into prominence, so too can you rise from your hidden season to fulfill the purpose and plans that God has intricately woven into your life. Trust in His timing, lean into His provision, and embrace the journey that unfolds before you with unwavering faith.

120th Anniversary of the First Pioneering Flight

Last year, I shared a post detailing how God had unveiled to me that we are entering a pioneering season. Recently, this revelation was reaffirmed profoundly. I just realized that December 17, 2023, marks 120 years since the Wright Brothers’ historic first manned flight of a powered airplane. Hooray for the 120 anniversary of their pioneering endeavors!

The number 12 struck me because it is often associated with Government and Apostleship! Yep, it holds significant Biblical symbolism. It represents God’s power, authority, and the establishment of a solid governmental foundation. Additionally, the number 12 signifies completeness and can be linked to the nation of Israel as a unified entity (think of the 12 tribes of Israel).

In the quiet depths of my spirit, I discerned a resounding message, “I am now sending forth Josephs into their pioneering flight(s). They will operate in my divine power and authority, serving according to my will.”

5 Essential Tips for This Pioneering Season

The Lord provided me with some prophetic direction based on the following quote from the Museum at Cape Fear, NC

“Have you ever wondered why North Carolina license plates say “First in Flight”? It’s because Wilbur and Orville Wright, two brothers who owned a bicycle shop in Dayton, Ohio, made the first-ever powered airplane flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on December 17, 1903. The Wright Brothers chose Kitty Hawk because of its strong winds to lift the aircraft up, soft sand to land on, friendly population who could help them with their experiments, and privacy. After successfully making the first powered flight they improved their aircraft and made flying demonstrations around the world. In 1908, they returned to Kitty Hawk, where they made history again by completing the first two-person flight.”

Friends, the journey of the Wright Brothers from owning a humble bicycle shop to achieving the remarkable feat of powered flight offers profound insights and prophetic encouragement for our own paths:

  1. Embrace Progress: Just as the Wright Brothers transitioned from bikes to planes, remember that growth and advancement often stem from unexpected beginnings. Trust in the process of development and envision the possibilities of where your journey may lead.
  2. Harness the Power of the Spirit: The strong winds at Kitty Hawk symbolize the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Allow yourself to be guided and propelled by God’s strength and direction, knowing that His spirit can lift you to new heights beyond your own capabilities.
  3. Kairos Moments in God’s Timing: The significance of soft sand for landing reflects the concept of Kairos moments—being in the right place at the right time according to God’s divine timing. Stay attuned to opportunities where God has positioned you for a purpose, ready to land gracefully in His appointed season.
  4. Find Your Tribe: Just as the Wright Brothers benefitted from the assistance of a friendly population at Kitty Hawk, seek out your community and support system. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who encourage, uplift, and collaborate with you on your journey towards fulfilling your calling.
  5. Sacred Space of Privacy, Consecration, & Quiet Time: Just as the Wright Brothers sought privacy in Kitty Hawk to conduct their experiments and innovations, please value the sanctity of privacy, consecration, and personal reflection. In moments of separation, allow God to speak into your purpose and direction, fostering a private space where divine insights can flourish, and transformative ideas can take flight.
  6. Launching into the World: Following their historic achievements, the Wright Brothers took their flying demonstrations worldwide, impacting countless lives. Similarly, once you have honed your gifts and embraced your calling, be prepared to launch into the world with confidence and purpose, sharing the blessings and lessons you’ve received with others on a global scale.

It’s Time to Fly

To all the Josephs out there, the call to soar is ringing loud and clear—it’s not a moment for mere contemplation but a season for taking flight. Drawing inspiration from the words in 2 Corinthians 4:7, remember that it is God’s power that propels your journey, not merely your own strength.

2 Corinthians 4:7,” But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

As you prepare to transition from developing your prototype to practicing and then full-on flight, I want to encourage you to embrace this pivotal moment. This is your time to rise above limitations, spread your wings of faith, and have unwavering trust in the One who empowers your flight. Glory to God!

I dedicate this prophetic song titled “Fly” by Joseph Upton (listen with headphones). There is a section of the song where an angel joins him. As you listen, picture the Lord radioing you with this call, “Hello Joseph, this is your Captain speaking. Prepare to FLY.”

P.S. I have a deep love for Kitty Hawk, NC. ❤️ Everyone there is so kind and friendly; it reminds me of my first American hometown in beautiful rural Virginia.

Hugs,

  3. WOW, I have been blown away by the timing of this! As I type this comment, my husband and I are preparing to fly together for the first time ever! And we are not going somewhere close, we are traveling to the Philippines over 18,000 miles away! God has called me there to speak at a women’s conference. Most of the women are pastor’s wives who are gathering for a time of refreshing and rejuvenation around the Word, and in the company of other pastor’s wives and believers. In 2001, I had a personal encounter with God and He told me that I was a “Joseph”. I was flabbergasted, had no idea what that meant, and was determined to find the answer to many questions that I had regarding why and how I am a Joseph. Years later, I received the answers that I was seeking, but in the meantime, God hid me away in a very dark room. He put me in a faraway corner in the back of that room, and as the dust of life settled around me, God began to lovingly develop His character and the fruit of His Spirit in my life. Three years ago, I was given a prophecy that God was bringing me out of the dark room, and many doors of ministry were going to be opening. I was told to “Get ready, get ready, get ready, for God is doing a new thing. You are being called to nations! Get ready, get ready, get ready!” My husband and I are ready! We have been getting ready for this assignment for many years, just waiting on God, focusing on becoming more like Him, and less like who we had been previously. Now we are getting ready to fly to the Philippines for our fist missionary trip/ministry. We will not only be speaking in the women’s conference, but are scheduled to speak on Sunday morning in the local church, and also do street ministry in Surigao City. We are so excited to see what God is going to do among the lovely people in that beautiful country. Please pray with us as we take our first flight!!!!!
