This post is all about Successful Christian Businesses OR Faith Based Companies.
Before I dive into my Successful Christian Businesses list, Let’s start with a quick background about my view…
My parents were business people and also farmed a lot. I witnessed their successes, losses, and failures. Sometimes we planted all season and then only to come up with no harvest. One memory I had was when bandits rustled ALL our dairy cows. All in all, I noticed the dedication that they put in. They spent long nights balancing balance sheets, making budgets and also supporting workers and their welfare.
Responsibility of Successful Christian Businesses.
I say this because I can only imagine the additional responsibility of operating a business as a ministry.
Christian businesses get to, directly and indirectly, share the love for Christ. So, they carry a spiritual aspect to service in as much they have a physical element to them. I can imagine silent prayers and intercessions taking place when nobody is looking.
When I pick a product from a Christian-owned business, I smile. #BodyofChrist
Because of recent turbulent times, we need to rally behind the businesses. Brethren, we need to hold them up, just as the Israelites held up Moses’ hands when he was praying.
Exodus 17:11-12 11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. 12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.
Why Support Christian Businesses
Here are three reasons that I want to share:
- Supporting a Christian Business means that they are most likely sowing back into serving the Lord. For the businesses that I will mention, you will notice that they have Christ-centered charities.
- Their monies are also most likely going to tithes and supporting local churches needed during these times.
- Christian businesses mean that Christian families are present. So, you are indirectly supporting these families and the next generations of Christians.
Let’s Support these Christian Businesses!
The list that I provide below contains businesses that exclusively describe their faith and mission.
Are you ready?
1. Affordable Christian Editing
This one is super dear to me, so I am listing this as number 1!
When I wrote my debut book, I found Affordable Christian Editing.
All I can say is that it was nothing less than a miracle. I remember the first email I received from them caused me to burst into tears. (I was so touched).
I will probably write another blog post about my experience but rest assured, they exceeded my expectations.
Their beginning prices are approximately 25% to 65% less than the industry standard!
I know many Christian Bloggers will bump into this post. So if you have always wanted to write a book, take this as a sign.
2. The Overflow
When The Overflow launched, I quickly subscribed to them. I did the monthly membership because I was ecstatic to support an online Christian music app.
It was kinda like Spotify but Christian. Then one day I got the dreaded message from the app saying that they would be removing their app from the app store.
I then asked myself, “Why didn’t we support them enough?”.
Honestly I don’t even know the reason that they closed, I hope to clarify with them soon. However, they are re-launching again under Spotify.
So guys, if you need a reminder I will make enough noise to ensure we support them. Hehe. 😂
3. Nature Nate’s
Nature Nate’s has the sweetest honey.
The first time I purchased their honey, I was in Costco and I noticed a Bible verse. So of course, I put it in my cart to do some vetting and alas, Christian Business it is. 💖
4. Pink Stork
In preparation for labor and delivery, I purchased Pink Stork’s Red Raspberry tea.
I usually use Traditional Medicine’s teas…but Pink Stork was a nice surprise because they are Christian and they have a really good mission. Plus, the tea is high quality.
5. Interstate Batteries
I know what you are thinking…. batteries? Yes!!! BATTERIES (sorry for being so ecstatic). Click the link to read about their culture.
On Fridays at our home, it’s “Chik-Fil-A Friday.” We enjoy it a lot!
Also, are we the only ones who notice the instrumental background music they play is worship music? Love it!
7. Prince of Peace Teas
Now, this was a surprise.
I love ginger tea. ☕ Fun fact, in Swahili, we call it “tangawizi.”
During cold months or if I feel a sore throat coming in, I always purchase this tea.
So, one day, I thought to myself, “I know there is ONLY one Prince of Peace. Let me check out these folks”.
I got a pleasant surprise to see that they are Christian!! They also support Christian Charities.
8. Hobby Lobby
I absolutely love them! I especially love their Christian art and scripture wall hangings.
9. In-N-Out Burger
I love them for their fearlessness.
I am yet to eat their burgers because I am on the other side of the U.S (East Coast), and they are in California.
10. Pure Flix Entertainment: Faith through Film
Think of this….Netflix but Christian and wholesome.
11. Wedding Photography
I follow Nate and Sutton on YouTube. They are young Christian YouTubers doing really well, and they also run this incredible wedding film and photography business.
Prayer for Successful Christian Businesses & Upcoming Christian Businesses!
For the businesses I mentioned or the ones that are reading this. Here is my prayer to you!
Deuteronomy 28: 2-13 2And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. 3Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. Read the rest here.
And that’s it, folks: 11 Successful Christian Businesses
I know this isn’t an exhaustive list. 🌸
There are many small local businesses (plus new and upcoming) that you probably know, and I would encourage you to start small and look for local companies.
For example, I identified a Christian business in my area, and I make a point of ordering from them once every two weeks (plus their food is delicious!)
So here’s the thing- I rarely ask for responses or shares, but just this time, please respond below with businesses that you know to be Christian and have a Christian mission (preferably in their website as well). ❤️
Let’s rally behind them!
