Urgent Revelation: Remain in His Presence!

Towards the end of February, I had a dream. I was sitting at the porch of a modern home. The door was open, and the owners were inside the house. Beside me was a man dressed in priestly garments, seating quietly at the porch. At the front of the house rested a tent of meeting as pictured above. It was empty and nobody was in the tent. The wind was gently blowing the tent and I could feel it on my face.

Typically when I have such dreams, I document them immediately. I, however, thought this was of no significance. So I didn’t record it.

On March 4th, 2020, I was driving home from school and there was a big traffic jam. I was 5 minutes away from home but it stated that I would be arriving in an hour and a half. It was bizarre. So I felt a burden to pray. God reminded me of the dream I had. He then told me about the ark of the covenant. He told me that it’s significance is dwelling in the presence of God. God also pointed me to the Aaronic blessing as written in Numbers 6:22-27. I was led to pray and I remember listening to a song of the Aaronic blessing that is in Hebrew. I went home and read the blessing. I knew there was a significant shift! I felt it in my spirit. I then asked God for another confirmation of this word. I prayed and felt a release.

March 6th, 2020, I hear a buzz about a new song by Elevation worship. I never listened to it until much later, perhaps a week ago. But when I listened to it, my Spirit got stirred instantly. I couldn’t believe my ears. I quickly flipped through my bible to Numbers 6:22-27. I start crying; it is the AARONIC BLESSING! They are singing it! They are singing it! What a confirmation!

So I ask you, what happens when we remain in the presence of God and we seek him?

Joy

Psalm 16:11 King James Version (KJV)

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand, there are pleasures for evermore.

Peace

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

In that dream, I believe the priest wasn’t Aaron. I believe that was an image of the high priest- JESUS CHRIST. I believe that God is there seated and waiting for us to be in his presence. He is waiting to enter not only our homes but our hearts. Just as in the dream, he might as well be sitting outside our porch as all manner of chaos breaks around the world. Instead of inviting him in, we choose to remain in the presence of chaos. We negatively listen to the news, we condition ourselves to live by sight and not by faith.

In Luke 24:50, just as Jesus was about to ascend into heaven. What did he (Jesus, our high priest) do? He blessed us!

50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted his hands and blessed them.

Just as the Aaronic benediction blessed the nation of Israel, Jesus wants us to be blessed. He wants us to spend time in his presence, have a relationship with him, and be fruitful by relying on his promises.

Patricia Shirer once preached about the Zebra. She stated that once a Zebra gives birth, the foal spends time with the mother as it drives away any curious interlopers. The baby bonds with mommy Zebra and spends time in her presence. It learns the sounds and smells to help her/him identify their mother before they rejoin the herd.

My question to you…whose presence have you been in? Have you been in the midst of your Lord Jesus, speaking his blessings and promises? Have you been intimately learning him through scripture? Can you identify him amid the chaos around?

I leave you with the blessings of Numbers that has an amplified Hebrew translation. You will see that it explains the depth and emphasis of the blessings.
