Happy Thanksgiving + Baptism Anniversary

Hello everyone,

I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

This Thanksgiving is extra special to me as it falls on the very day that I was baptized in 1998- when I was barely a teenager!

11.28.1998 💖 I can remember that very day-vividly! It was a beautiful day indeed.

Apologies for my recent silence, I have been busy working on some of my final papers in school. I can’t wait to come back to writing. ✍🏾

Hugs 🤗 ,

  1. Happy Thanksgiving to you and what a wonderful day to remember what we are most thankful for (His saving grace) and your public commitment to dedicating your life to Him.

  2. Happy Thanksgiving season, which is everyday, actually! Nice to have the anniversary of your baptism on a memorable day. I don’t have a date of my baptism. I think I was 12. I do remember it. So, that would have been 58 years ago. But, I have always believed that I was 7 years old when I gave my heart to Jesus. I don’t have a physical record of any of that, though, other than the one that God keeps. But, I remember both vividly.

    • 58 years ago!! Amazing!! Glory to God ❤️

I also don’t remember when I specifically gave my heart to Jesus… this is because I said the sinners prayer so many times 😂 It was not until 1998 when I realized I don’t have to go forward everytime they ask if anyone wants to accept Jesus 😂😂😂😂

      • Well, giving our hearts to Jesus isn’t a one-time event, anyway. It has a beginning, but daily we must die to sin and self and daily we must surrender our hearts to Jesus to do his will and to follow him in obedience. Every day we give our hearts to him or else we follow our own flesh. It is a daily yielding to his Spirit. That is what it means to walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh.
